It's Really Not My Fault It's All About Me

Give me enough time for quiet meditation and I'll have a rather ingenious explanation for why the sun comes up each morning for my benefit.
When I was a young Christian being despaired of by my instructors in the faith for a devotion to comics books that rivals the attachment to a certain well thought of literary moderator it would cross my mind they might have a point.
I likened it to watching soap operas. Just had to see what developments tomorrow would bring. Being stubborn by nature over things that won't endanger the flesh or pursuit of happiness I clung to my hobby while hotly resenting the others for following sports with a clean conscience.
With that in mind I enjoy seeing God provide little proofs (seemingly) that my predilection for colored pieces of paper were given holy approval even though in the scheme of things the world would probably have still discovered Elvis without them.
One of my favorite comics series from long ago is Turok Son of Stone published from late 1950s to the early 1980s by Dell (29 issues), then Gold Key (96 issues) and Whitman (remaining 5 issues) for a run of 130 in all. An incredible run for a non-movie/TV related property from these esteemed publishers. I HAD the complete run completed long ago but sacrificed to the mid-life crisis that as a by product ultimately brought me here amusing three or more people from time to time.
Moving along rapidly to the point as I have a heart doctor appointment to be getting to. The series is currently being reprinted in deluxe hard cover editions six issues at a time by Dark Horse comics. Volume 6 just came out and I missed volume 5. The glaring gap on my bookcase was too much to bear and I threw some back order business to the News Outlet and after a week came home with the runaway book yesterday.
So I'm examining it and looking at the indicia for when it came out and my eyes strayed across the page noting with sudden interest the address of Dark Horse comics.
I begin laughing maniacally. I interrupt Ruth on the computer and begin singing what I call the All About Me song (a variation on my high school class song I've Got to Be Me by Frank Sinatra). I cannot stop laughing (and croaking the song) and I don't want to.
You see the business location of Dark Horse probably the fourth largest comics producing company in the United States (fifith is you count Archie comics) is located in Milwaukie, Oregon.
So??
Well here goes. My son Daniel's wedding invitation showed up last Saturday and I needed to start geting hotel reservations. Had you asked me where he was getting married I would rambled on and on about Portland, Oregon and a lengthy plane trip in the future.
I was wrong--technically.
His wedding is to take place (and recorded for all eternity) in--
Bec already is way ahead on this one --
MILWAUKIE, Oregon (which looks like an offshoot from Portland on the maps. Whch I had never heard of until the arrival of said missive.
Indisputable proof that God truly is in the details of my life. My son being married in the same city where an old favorite of mine is being published. YES!!!!!!!
And even better --has a marvelous sense of humor.
