thread the needle through the eye
patch you up for a fresh new start

Your need for me you cannot deny
I will wear you like my own skin
and know the meaning of your every sigh
I love a man with a heart of tin

and that undone cynical grin
as I lure you away from the edge
seeing all the darkness held within
because our love lives on the ledge.

But to me your life you'll pledge
I keep all the broken pieces in a box
and you shall remain my fledge
preventing your heart from washing up on the rocks

because we will never depart.
It is my defect to only love a broken soul
mending all the scars is my art
