Soul, hear me.

Soul, hear me,
I need you,
Take me from here.

Soul, I have known you,
Seen your infinite light,
believed I could make it clear to all.

Why do some speak against you?
Speak against the sacred divine,
profane the fount of life?

It is nothing, it is nothing -
It is merely a reflection of light.
Your infinite peace remains.

Soul, I know you today!
My whole being affirms this!
The whole universe affirms this!

This is your way, you become all of us,
And engage in this vision, this play -
But the play and the players are you.

You are a rushing stream, infinite -
We seem to perceive the laws of this universe;
My self is awareness, my source is you.

Soul, hear me,
In the silence - the rushing is ceased -
Your face appears.
You are all people, all people are you.

I like this poem, and think there's a lot of power in the last three strophe.
This really jumped out for me:

This is your way, you become all of us,
And engage in this vision, this play -
But the play and the players are you.

It took me back to Fitzgerald and his translation of Omar Khayyam's Rubaiyat, but of course it is quite different.
