A Lonely Traveller

Concert of Nature

Rate this Entry

Leaves of banyan trees push against each other
to crowd onto the green roof of a theater,
blocking off peeping sunlight,
creating a pleasant shade for all the dancers underneath.
The arial prop roots swinging idly play the long gray beards of the sleepy senior audience.
Some peach actresses nearby are swaying gently
in the summer breeze beside a brook.
When a gust of wind blows, sending their skirts all flying up,

the brook is snickering,
and the frolicking clouds are all grinning.

This is very good too. It's quite original.

Thanks, Virgil, for the nice words.

    But I don't think it's good enough!

Any advice for me on this scribbling?

No, I can't say I have any advice. It's actually quite comic.

    Thanks for the laugh!

But the scene isn't as pretty as I wanted it to me, right?

No it's pretty. I like this version even better.

When I finish a scribbling, I can't feel it's pretty anymore. It's like when you're in a room of sweet flowers for a while, you can't smell the scent any more.
That's why I need your feedback!

    Wish you well!

Yes, I know how that is. I can't look at my work very long either.
