Just thought I would pop in here and tell everyone Happy 4th of July. Things here are really good. We've spenst the day outside with the kids and I cooked a bunch of food for my family. My only regret is that we didn't have company this year because all of the people who are normally here for the holidays are deployed at the moment. It has still been a great day, though. It has been sunny and cloudless and a nice 80 degrees. We are planning to leave soon to take the kids down to see the fireworks here in town.

As far as writing anything... that hasn't happened. I'm still waiting for some inspiration and clarity before starting my story again. I'm also behind on school at the moment because I've had little time to get my coursework finished. I was trying to write up my case study last evening, but both kids kept waking up and crying off and on because of the noise from firewords. When I finally got them settled it was 10 p.m. and I still couldn't concentrate because of the noise. It sounded like a war zone here in base housing because everyone around was launching their fireworks. I am thinking that it will be even worse tonight, and there will still be people lighting them off through the rest of the week. I need to carve some time out of my day to at least get my school work finished up. Then, maybe I can use some of this weekend to write rather than spend it making up for what I wasn't able to accomplish during the week.
