From the Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoyevsky People talk sometimes of bestial cruelty, but that's a great injustice and insult to the beasts; a beast can never be so cruel as a man, so artistically cruel
Sadly, how true. What chapter is that in D-M?
Edgar Rice Burroughs used to go on and on and on about man being crueler then the animals. TCM was showing Brothers with Yul Bryner the other day and Richard Basehart and a very very young William Shatner. Sadly I STILL don't get the fuss over this book. The movie didn't help but I get stubborn over certain things and this seems to be one of them.
