day in a life

waiting for tomorrow

not that I want the weekend to be over I just will find out tomorrow if the classes I want to take for the summer semester will be taught. I started reading Lord of the Rings for the second time so I will be up to speed when the class starts, I will be really disappointed if they cancel the classes. It's kinda funny reading these books again, it's been almost 10 years and I find myself reading a 'new' story, there is a big difference in reading a book at 14 than 24, I feel the same way as I did when I read Macbeth for the second time, I was 12 when I read it at first and it was very different at 18. well the bad thing is that I'm disliking the movies the more I read, and even the choice of actors for some parts, mainly the hobbits, Aragorn and gandalf where pretty good I think but those hobbits especially Frodo.

the sci-fi class is also very very interesting but I'm gonna wait 'till I know if it will be taught and how the projects are before starting the books. according to the description of the class there are a few books to read:Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson and the movie the Matrix also read The Player of Games by Iain M. Banks I don't know if there is a movie with this part but the last part is Donnie Darko and no book listed but we'll see. the class is three parts time travelling, cyberpunk and cyber soap opera... very exciting....

two weeks off from school is enough, I'm ready to start up again!

Good luck, Helga, and I know how you feel about not studying anything over prolonged periods of time. I get restless and develop "bad" habits.

I really liked Stephenson's Snow Crash when I read it like 5 years ago. I think it reinvigorated the cyberpunk genre, which is kinda dead now for the most part.
