slightly annoyed

It bothers me a whole lot when people complain about their classes and homework load. This is what we came to college for, people. We were repeatedly warned that this is what we're getting into and we chose to come. And frankly, the more you complain the more you'll hate it, and the more you hate it the less you'll get out of it. And considering how incredible the quality of the teaching and the professors are here and how we're changing and maturing and what we're learning, it is your (considerable) loss. So toughen up. Pay attention. DON'T gtalk in class, or you'll totally deserve the low grade you got on your paper. This stuff is interesting - IF YOU LET IT BE.

Yes I know where you are coming from. I would vent to my friend about how busy I was with school and all the stuff and reading I had to do, but I got it done, but I knew people who in class were always complaining about it, and acting like it was impossible to get all the reading and stuff done, and it got annoying listening to them all the time.

The whited sepulchre rather enjoys the thought that 'some' Chrisitian students may have had the idea that college was going to be a walk in the park and a blister on the journey comes as a bit of a shock. This is called spiritual pruning--a neccesary step in progress of a relationship of a servant of the Lord Christ not a partner in unequal proportions. It also delights me that YOU have not succumbed. If I don't accidently ruin your spiritual walk it will continue to be a pleasure watching God in your life.

I don't miss those people. Keep your own chin up and ignore them as much as possible. It is an irritation to listen to others complain when you are doing the same work, but then I always had to remind myself that something relatively easy for me may be much more difficult for another. Tolerance, it's what I was taught growing up because not everyone is as strong as you are or as smart as you are :).

Young people (18 to 21 year olds) not complain? Students not complain? People given assignments not complain? Does the sun rise every morning? Does a bear crap in the woods? You haven't lived in the real world very long.

Agreed . Although I find I get more annoyed at the people I know who just wonder off to the taverns to drink constantly. It seems a little pointless to me. Then again I'm underage so I don't do that stuff anyhow. But the amount of people who complain at uni about everything, but they don't do a thing in the first place! I know I'm not the best student, I do things last minute wayyy to often, but at least I catch up asap! And also it's so much more beneficial actually doing the proper work! The amount of fabulous references and points I've found just from doing the set readings that not everyone decides to do! *sigh*
