Halls of the Dark Muse

I went out go on my walk today, and I hadn't been in a while because the weather was being all strange and than I got out of the habit of it and let myself get distracted with other things, so I decided it was time to start anew and get back into the habit of it again.

I grabbed my ipod, and turn it on and it comes one and plays for about a 2nd than goes off, and I was like hmmm that is weird. I turn it back on and it comes on and than goes out again with a dead battery, and this is the first time I actually ever had my battery on my ipod go completely dead before. Usually I always recharge it when it starts to get low, but I haven't used it in a while and they say when they start to get older the battery life becomes shorter.

And I ended up having to go out on my walk without my music, which really sucked at first, because my music was my shield against other people. With my ipod it was so convenient to avoid any sort of interaction with others, I could just pretend like I didn't hear them and keep walking or if I do get accosted by some random stranger, when I was done with it and ready to move on, I could just pop my headphones back in and walk away.

So now I was left feeling totally unprotected from the dangers of having to interact with others, with no convenient or easy ways in which to evade any unwanted attempts.

Luckily I did not encounter very many people on my way, I did see a lot of little lizards running around, which was far more favorable.

Though I may have witnessed some sort of criminal activity. I am not quite sure what was going on, but it seemed a bit suspicious. As I was walking through the trail that goes through the foot wills, on one side of the path there are homes, and on the other side there is a school, and as I was walking along, all of the sudden these two figures, I did not really get that good of a look at them, but if I had to guess I would say they were perhaps between their teens to maybe 20s, and they were both guys in white t-shirts, come leaping over one of the fences where the homes are and tearing down though the grass and across the path way some distance ahead of me and ducked back into the creek that runs behind the school.

The way they were running did seem to be as they were in fact fleeing from someone or something, but from the glimpse I saw them they looked pretty young and that creek area is the perfect spot for smoking a joint, or underage drinking. So I thought maybe they were just messing around.

It did not take me much longer to come up past the area where the creek is and out of curiously of course I had to just turn my head and glance over, though I had fully expected the way they were running that they would be long gone out of sight farther back into the creek, and I was quite surprised when I saw them both standing right in near the entrance area into the creek keeled over trying to catch their breath, and at first they seem startled at my appearance but than when the realized it was just some random person walking by they both relaxed and than stood up and started to walk back farther into the creek area.

And earlier during my walk I did notice that there were some cop cars trolling around, and they looked as if they were perhaps looking for someone because they were circling around the streets, but there were no cops anywhere near where I saw the individuals, so I don't know if they were running from the cops, or if they were just up messing around.

But it was kind of exciting for a couple of minutes.
