Common Room Capers

Well, today started dull but with a little twist. I had toast with honey today, for lack of anything else to have (besides cereal which goes soggy if you let it get too milky).
I was late again and was expecting to run into the horrible woman that I have recently nicknamed Ms Oldbat (Because I don't know her name) who said one morning, and I quote "You do know being marked late counts as an unauthorized absence". If they haven't been able to stop me being late for 7 years, then what's a few more months going to hurt? Then I'm off to Uni (Hopefully). I know what Uni I want. It's a tube ride away and has a but running from the station to the Uni.
Anyway, it wasn't Ms Oldbat, it was the teacher I have recently named Mr. Happy, because he's nice when he signs people in.
I don't really have lessons (as such) on Mondays. Just compulsory things posing as lessons. They were boring.
At lunch I discovered that there was a keyboard in the common room and some boys were playing it, badly. I decided to secure a place in the study room a few minutes before the bell rang, before we all got kicked out of the common room. The trouble is that the computers in our school are crummy and the children have a habit of stealing the mouse balls. So, the school superglues them shut, but that interferes with how the ball works. After a while of trying to use the near useless mouse and getting frustrated, I decided to see if the common room was open.
Strangely enough, it was open. Some of the others decided to pull a few stunts. The firs idea was to jump into a bin. After some debating, our deputy head boy, Jason, agreed to do it. He jumped off of the chair. One leg went into the bin. One leg didn't. I asked him if it hurt, when he came back to sit down. He assured me it did. He landed on his foot at an odd angle and almost damaged his ankle. After that no one wanted to try that stunt. So they contented themselves with trying to take a running start and slide into the bin (Now on its side) slipping on a bin liner.
Then someone happened on the idea of a blindfolded obstacle course. i must say, I've don't think I've ever seen anything that funny (in school). There was the pushing of obstacles into the paths of the participants and attempts to trim them up.
Then followed a kind of multiple piggyback ride, in which one boy jumped onto the back of another, followed by one or two more. During one of these little "piggyback rides" I was almost squashed. i shifted to one side enough not to get hurt, though my foot ended up in one boy's kidney. I wasn't too happy; because they'd crushed one of the paper cubes I'd made and was neatly stacking (For the sake of something to do).
Then came the idea of diving onto carefully arranged chairs. This usually resulted in about three other boys jumping on top of each other. This ended when Jason decided to attempt it. Being a bit bigger than the others that tried it, Jason ended up going a little further and succeeded in landing right in the middle of the soft grey chairs and then, with the remaining force of his dive, continued to roll left and knock over all four chairs. This had the whole common room in hysterics.
The last idea was to close the blinds and play hide and seek. The ingenuity of some of them, in their choice of hiding places, was rather remarkable. It was such fun watching them try to hide and bet found. they played three rounds. By this time I had completed my paper cube pyramid of 10 large ones and a smaller one.
I admit, it was fun.
Today's chocolate was a cute little motor car.
Well, I have to be going now, I have an exam first thing and I need to be on time.
