When anyone is behaving stupidly, don't trust them. Avoid them. Quickly!

This is just gathered by observations and experiences... none too hard recently.. but sometimes, as Pascal said, when a person has a true idea they know they do. :p

Seems like a perfectly legitimate law. I might adopt it as well, if you've no objections!

Very good advice. I think that's a wise thing to do.

But what if the person behaving stupidly is yourself? Happens to me all the time. . .

Not a bad idea. I'm not sure how workable it is. I'm feeling that way tonight. A co-worker was needlessly unkind. He was supposed to share something and he's not and he actually seemed to be blaming me. I will be withdrawing from connection with him. I don't know what it is about the end of the year at my school.

Sorry to go on about it.

Lol, a new paranoia has arisen in me. Do I dare trust myself?

Skib - you should, and thanks!

Comedian - cut carefully with knives and don't play with fire! :p

Qi - Hope everything works out; don't worry about speaking about it!!

Daniel - You should read "Inscription on Trust in the Mind," by Seng Ts'an... (in Chinese it's Hsin Hsin Ming)

I couldnt agree with you more on a personal capacity... but sometimes if we take the time others will learn from us, so it might not be such a bad idea to engage those who are stupid... here I am thinking particularly of those who condone war for example, otherwise how else is there any other way to affect positive changes but through the hearts of people. And there are many other examples like this, as we discussed the power of thought.. people 'could' learn more through the power of their own thoughts to improve their lives profoundly but they would sooner doubt this concept without even trying. Now how stupid is that?

As I constantly say: For all the intelligence that surrounds us, human beings are not very bright at all.

Ah.. well I perhaps should have added a qualifier.. I meant by this.. when you should be wary of someone.. What I mean is.. in some circumstance or situation.. if someone is acting in a way that doesn't make sense, or if there is something they should do... heh.. then what I mean is, you should be careful... not sure if it makes sense. I think Skib got what I meant, Virgil too.. and Qi mentioned something rather similar.. people being unnecessarily unkind.. but that has a different solution I feel. Then perhaps it's a good idea to engage them in doing good things, like you said.
