It was a long day

We had a really long day at my house. Well, at least it felt like it never ended. It wasn't a bad day or anything. Actually it was pretty fun, but it was still quite long feeling. We got up early this morning and just did the normal morning routine with the kids. We all had breakfast, fed the dogs, got dressed, and went to get some coffee. Not too big of a deal, but then we had to leave for Seattle. Now, where I'm at is near to Seattle but we are still quit a distance away. On a good day it takes 2 hours or so to get there, and on a bad day it can easily take twice that amount of time. Today was a medium sort of day, but then we missed our exit. We don't go down that way often, so we ended up some ten miles past our exit and had to turn around. This wouldn't have been a big ordeal, but by this time my daughter has decided that she is no longer happy to be in the car seat. So, we spend some 20 minutes driving around with my 9 month old daughter hysterically upset in the back seat. Not a good start, but then we figure it will get better. That wasn't really the case, though. Our acquaintence that we were meeting decided to complain that we wanted to meet in the middle instead of driving another hour or so down to his house. He just doesn't get that with a baby who doesn't travel well he might as well be living on the moon. So we meet, and then run a few more errands. Everything is starting to go fine. My husband found some great wood to use in one of his wood turning projects, and I found some great material to sew with. We start to drive home and it becomes this stop an go trip. First we get caught in traffic, which I hate. Then little Victoria decided to get all upset again. So we stop for that, and finally strip her down to her diaper for the rest of the trip thinking that she is just over heating. We get a little further and my son has to go to the bathroom. So we stop again. It is finally after 6 p.m. when we get back home after leaving at about 10 this morning. We managed to get through dinner and putting my daughter to bed with no major incedent. We also spent some time outside playing, but then it comes time to put my son to bed and the house turns into a war zone. He was so tired that he had one of those sobbing tantrums about even having to go to bed. So, that pretty much was my day, but now I'm sitting here typing this out thinking that I have to put the dishwasher away and clean bottles for the morning. All I want to do is get some sleep, so I think I'll be off to do that. Hope everyone elses day seemed a little shorter. It was nice, but I am really worn out. Maybe I'll get to sleep in tomorrow....:yawnb: :yawnb:
