day in a life

erupting again!!

I have gotten a few pm's about this volcano eruption here on the ice so I decided to check in and say what I know about this volcano. Well to start with no man has been hurt they evacuated in plenty of time, the animals on the other hand or many stuck outside with the ashes blowing in the wind all around them. If I didn't feel this bad for the poor horses I would say 'it's all your fault' to the farmer who has them. it's illegal to have horses outside with no stable they can go into in bad weather, nobody goes after this and just has there animals on their land with no housing for them but he broke the law and now his horses are stuck outside and will probably not live because of the smoke and ashes surrounding them. I get so mad when people get away with going around the law just because it's an animal and not a human being. well enough with that. I'm in no immediate danger and am not that worried either, the last volcano here was just a small one and more like a tourist eruption than anything else and I hope this one will be the same, but if I don't check in regularly you should check out the news from the ice....

in other news, there is a small eruption in my home too. my son is sick, throwing up and all, very nice.... he was sick on sunday and was at home on monday but was getting better threw up a bit on thursday but went to school yesterday and started again this morning. but it seems to be getting better he is eating a bit right now so I just hope he keeps it in.

well I should get back to the boy...

Well I was certainly glad to hear you were okay. I'm sorry your son is still sick though. I hope it isn't to do with all the ash and dust around. It's been all over the news here, but mainly because flights are grounded. Typical British press.

I hope it doesn't get any worse.

Yeah I'm glad to hear you are alright.
They grounded the flights in airports across northern Europe from Ireland to Sweden because of the ash and debris in the athmosphere.

Glad to hear that you are safe, and I hope your son is feeling better soon. I hate stomach viruses.

They say the ash has already started to settle in parts of northern Scotland.

Such a small country causing quite an international event. As soon as I heard on the news I thought of you.

Glad you are well and hope this doesn't cause too much trauma to your country.

it's funny how my part of iceland isn't affected at all by the ashes and smoke but a big part of europe is, the wind is blowing everything away from here, so the biggest part of this small country is not at all affected

There's a thread in Gen Chat about it all now. It's having an effect on so many of us! I hope everything stays safe where you are. I know experts are worried it might trigger other volcanoes
