In the same way a fossil is a dormant life?

So does that mean if we dont need a language we dont need a mind? Bit of a bugger for the deaf eh?

Sometimes I neglect you so when I saw this entry having just posted a note on grieivng I was in the mood for a DM poem. Sigh. But I'm sure the wait won't be much longer. Long neglected note--I liked seeing your picture but will confess I thought you would be dressed up like a Goth lady or Biker babe. Sterotypes sterotypes--the judgements continue--sigh. I remmeber when I finally got the nerve up to show a pic of me here and lo and behold the comment I remember the most was--yep--just what I thought. Still looking for that chip that fell off the shoulder. Long story short--you looked nice.

Though I do have my goth moments when it coems to style and dress, it is true I am not a sterotypical or tradidtional goth in spite of my views. I know I don't alwys look like a person who os consumed with the dark side.

I agree. The definition of a so-called "dead language" is that it has stopped changing, i.e. classical Greek or
Latin. "Living languages," such as English, Italian, or Greek continue to change.

Did you like The Shadow of the Wind DM? I read it last year, and I enjoyed it. The story was well told I thought, through stories, and it had a lot to say about the mythology of books/ stories.

I am still in the process of reading it, and haven't got that far yet, but so far I am enjoying what I have read.

    I wasn't disappointed.
