I'm in a Sinatra kind of mood these days, listening to the one cd I have 10 times a day. He has been a favourite of mine for years now but I mainly listen to him when the mood strikes me and then it's nothing but him for days. I also like Dean Martin but I don't have any cd's with him. I love the girl from Ipanema, so sad....
I was watching Casablanca the other day and I just love that movie, it has everything you could want in a movie (except maybe sci-fi). and the song 'as time goes by' is just wonderful.
Easter is just around the corner, I don't know what it's like anywere else but here we have big chocolate eggs filled with candy, I prefer it if my boy dosen't eat much but me on the other hand... I love my chocolate.
I was wondering how people organize their books. I took all my books down yesterday and re-organized and cleaned all of them. It's hard to find a system that works, I change mine regularly but I think I'm pretty satisfied right now but we'll see, a few books from now I might be changing it again.
I have also been thinking about bookclubs, it's hard to find one you like but I have now. It's a classical literature club and they send me a book every two months from either a foreign writer or Icelandic, all something considered classics. I first tried another club that had only female contemporary writers, and it saddened me to see what books I got. the first one was just OK, called 'The Jane Austen bookclub' the best part about it was that it made me want to read Jane Austin again. then I got some book I haven't read called 'Brick Lane' and the last book I got that made me quit the club was 'sex and the city', no thanks! man bookclubs can be hard, but the good thing about them is that they do get people who don't read that much interested..... like Oprah's club.....
my son is full of wisdom and funny quotes these days, the other day we went to my mom's house and she had been to the bakery and when my son got something he liked on his plate he said 'I haven't had these in years' he's almost 4 years old... we laughed so hard.
