I'm still alive

Hey all. Don’t worry, I’m not dead (That’s a thought that crossed my mind yesterday, which is why I thought I should blog, in case you guys were worried about me).
Now, I haven’t blogged for lack of anything to say, something really exciting happened to me over the summer (Really exciting for me, but I doubt most people would think it such a big deal but I did). I went on my very first outing with the JCS for two years. I’ve always gone to the meetings but I always avoided going out with the group to places like restaurants and stuff (I have a few reasons for not going; 1. until recently it’d been a very long time since I ate out anywhere (However, recently I have eaten at 2 Chinese restaurants over the passed 2 years (Wow, 2, what an exciting life I lead) the first was last year in Jersey (not sure why, it was mum’s idea, I think it was partly because of convenience, curiosity and because she was trying to encourage me to go out with the others) the second was a local one on my birthday (That was in March) and a week ago after we had a wasted day (Please wait for further information on that because I want to get on with this instead of digressing every few words) 2. I eat very slowly and I’m quite embarrassed about it because people always have to wait for me. 3. I’m a picky eater and I don’t like spicy foods which causes me to carefully go over a menu carefully when I first encounter it. 4. I don’t like going to strange places, especially with people that I don’t know very well. 5. I’ve never eaten out as part of a group (only when I was a child and that was rare, so it doesn’t really count) so I don’t really know how things are done when it comes to splitting the tab. 6. I’m concerned about getting the train too late at night and I’m also concerned about getting home from a strange location).
Anyway, back to the really exciting thing, and no it’s not a restaurant trip as you may be expecting. We went to an Anime Expo on the 24th of May. I was so excited about it because it’s the first time I’ve gone out with the JCS, YAY!! It’s also the first Anime Expo I’ve ever been to, YAY!!! It was so much fun, mainly because it was something new and I was with my friends (not all of them though, the puppet master wasn’t there, but that’s a good thingand Sara wasn’t because she’d gone home for the Summer (that’s somewhere up North not sure where but not as far as Scotland
) but it was still fun). I didn’t cosplay but a couple of our group did. I did wear my Hetalia T-shirt though (for lack of a better idea mum bugged me to give her some pictures and she got the printed onto T-shirts for my birthday, they’re taken from a fan vid on youtube and I made one of them the wallpaper on my phone
).
I met up with everyone at Hammersmith (it would’ve been more convenient for me to meet them at the location but I was worried I get lost and stuff so I had to get up early to get to Hammersmith to meet them.) I was waiting at Hammersmith for a while. Now, the next sentence or so might be unpleasant so I’ll try to get it over with quickly. While I was waiting I needed the loo, pretty badly so I decided to find the public toilets. Word of advice, if you’re ever at Hammersmith station or probably any other London stations and you need to go, make sure you have change with you and that you’re really desperate because I had to pay 30p to use the toilets at Hammersmith. Seeing as I had to pay for the privilege of using them I decided to get my money’s worth. Seriously, why should people pay to use the toilet? Although, to be fair, it would deter vandalism but it could encourage people to abuse the facilities as payback. Well, at least it could be worse, it’s only 30p, it could be £1, then there’d be real reason to complain. Anyway, enough of that, I met up with everyone, we went to the Expo and split into 2 groups. I was terrified of getting lost so I stuck to my group like a limpet. I was also very annoyed because when we were waiting to go in I saw a guy cosplaying as Russia but I didn’t have my camera ready so I didn’t get his picture. There was also someone cosplaying as Prussia but I didn’t get their picture either and I got quite annoyed. Then I spotted someone dressed as Sealand and tried to stalk them without leaving my group, it was difficult but when two people in my group were getting their pictures drawn I took a moment to chase after the Hetalia cosplayers and get their picture (Sweden, Finland and Sealand) YAY!!!!! There was a little Sci-fi convention going on too so there was a Dalek and the TARDIS too and a few other things. Anyway, I've skipped ahead.
When we got in we were given a stamp on our hands, so that if we left we could get back in and we also got a bag of goodies. When we stopped for lunch (a cup of chips each that had no salt) we looked through the goodie bags and started swapping things
then we went back in an looked around some more. I really really wanted to get some sort of souvenir, I was thinking of a stuffed toy or something but they were either crap or of something from an anime I’d never seen and too expensive (I could afford to buy them but £15 for a little toy that fits in your palm it's outrageous (We went on Sunday but I was told that on the Saturday there was more choice of things to buy and more people (meaning more cosplayers too
) but things were more expensive, and on Sunday there were less people, less things but they were cheaper) We were about to leave when one of us wanted to go back in for something, I decided to go with her and have one last souvenir hunt. We met another member of the JCS from the second group, the girl I was with went off to do what she was going to do and I searched the stalls with the other one for a souvenir (Sorry, I’m being rude, her name’s Anna). Anyway, we came to a stall with postcards and I noticed an adorable one of L from Deathnote with cat ears and it was sooooo cute. Then I noticed there were Hetalia postcards too. We had to wait for ages to be served though because the girls running the stall were also drawing people’s pictures. Eventually I got my postcards and had to rush back to the exit because my group were about to leave. All in all it was fun and I finally got the souvenirs I wanted. 8 postcards at £1 each, I have; one with Germany, Italy and Japan (the axis powers) one of Russia, china, France, America and England (the allied forces) one of France and England, one of China and Korea, another one with the allied forces, one of England an America, one of Russia and the one of L with the cat ears. I stuck them up on my bedroom wall. I’m almost embarrassed to say that I like to talk to them (I say almost because I enjoy talking to them, it makes me feel better about things).
I’ve missed a few details out but I'm anxious to post this so I’ll try to come back later and add in the bits I’ve missed out.
Also, I must mention that I recently ate real sushi but I think that deserves it’s own entry, thought I should let you know in case I leave you for no reason again.
Sorry again about that. After the Expo I kind of shut down, I hadn’t even checked my hotmail account until today (there was nothing important in there, just junk mail).
Sorry if I made you worry.
Bluebiird is signing out for now, out out out.
