No more smoking

I quit smoking... again, done so in the past, but it never lasted, but now I really need it to succeed, because, having paid a lot of visits to the doctor, it turns out I am allergic to cigarettes....

It is not a literal allergic reaction to nicotine or the smoke, but it turns out I have very sensitive skin and am susceptible to atopic exzema... which is something babies usually have, and I had it as a baby but it came back and smoking makes it worse. The only reason for me to start smoking was as a self destructive measure, but it wasn't supossed to make my skin go insane and irritated, so I have decided to quite and find another terminal addiction instead... Does annyone have a good suggestion regarding terminal addictions that do not show until one has actually crossed the terminal boundary when there is no way back from the dead?

Take up chewing. Or drinking antifreeze. That usually doesn't show till the autopsy.

I am afraid all of my addictions are rather non-terminal, though perhaps sometimes questionable to my mental stabliltiy, nothing that will likely kill me.

Chocolate is in some cases terminal, sadly it does show up...bananas, if you eat 30 in a day you get potassiam poisoning.

You can slam 20 or 30 energy drinks I suppose ;) Glad to hear you're quitting. Getting ready to do so myself... again *sigh*

I already slam energy drinks like crazy, without them I would only be awake 2-3 hours each day, but maybe now that no longer smoke, I won't have too.

I am chewing gum like crazy!

I forgot about gum. I normally run for the hard candy myself. You'll also see the difference in my pen caps. Darn oral fixation :D

You know gum isn't good for you right? How about aniseed balls? Lovely lovley things, which I must rember to get my mum to post me...

    Chocolate is a beautiful addiction.

Glad to hear your quitting the smoking gig. It's fun for the rebellious young, but after that phase has passed-meh. You want to keep your lungs. Not being able to breathe makes getting old even crappier than it already is. (I'm not speaking from experience, mind you )

Best thing for you Aimus. Smoking really does take ten years off your life. My father proved it. Live long and prosper.
