Anna Karenina, is the most real character I've ever read about & Anna Karenina the novel is indeed the one where all the characters seem to be part of our lives. They are all real.
The beauty of the novel lies in the way Tolstoy has worked on his characters. When i say 'real' it means that unlike many other novels where characters are good & bad in turn. Here each character in almost each of the scene reacts in a way that reflects both his strengths & fallings. They are neither good nor bad butthey are just like all of us the have shades of goodness & evil that manifest themselves together & not by seasons.
Love has been treated by Tolstoy in such a charming way that inspite of all the tragedy one can't help calling it a tale of romance
