In Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Robert Louis Stevenson illuminates the detrimental effects of improperly meddling with God’s creation. The ideal notion is that one would accept the gifts, abilities, and freedoms of choice God embeds in human beings and not strive to transform himself. Our negative desires and urgings can overtake our original selves until we lose touch of who we once represented. Dr. Jekyll’s desire to temporarily alter his existence results ultimately in his deadly demise.<br>
