I read your comment and I wanted to answer you question. You asked why the Prince (later to be king) didn't want to beg. He didn't want to 'sink that low'. He was a prince (despite the laughs he received for stating that) and princes just didn't beg. I hope that answered your question. I too found it hard to get through but when I finished I thought it was a very interesting story. Ask your teacher to read the Cliffnotes to you as well. Or if she could possibly explain it a little better. Good luck! Good job being in honors! :-)
