What a truly diminished person you must be and what a disappointment to yourself as well. You selfish indulgent prick. Do you seriously think anyone cares about your comments? Alas, a tree falls and there is no one there to hear it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

This guy had a great point of view that no one will ever practice these days because of our hearts are trapped in necessities! I would never do this either. We only have one life to live, so why shouldn't we live it with whatever we can. He speaks on experiences as if we don't have any with our technology. He was a great philosopher, but come on now. It is 2003, the whole point of society is to expand it.

Thoreau did not mean that people should live in caves as the savages did, nor did he suggest that we reject the benefits of civilization. “it certainly is better” he said, “to accept the advantages, though so dearly bought, which the invention and industry of mankind offer.”

What's the purpose of the "allusion ay! There was the rub" Thoreau makes in chapter 6 of walden and why does he make the allusion to Cerberus in the same chapter. Why have a 3 headed dog guard the mans house
