I can't say it's the best novel I ever read, but I was really touched when I read it. I agree with Wendy that it appeals to feminist as I am a girl and like it so much that I decide to reraed it.<br>I learned from some article that Edith got to know James Henry when she's living in Europe and they became good friends. It's also said in the article that James had great influence on her. I think I can catch in the book something alike James Henry's works.
