I am absolutely enraptured by the romance of the whole book but I must admit that Edmond Dantes is my favorite character besides Abbe faria. I love the many transformations of Edmond or "Count of Monte Cristo". I am so involved with this book that I can't seem to want to read anything else with out comparing the two. I saw the recent movie and I'm no movie critic(ebert & the other guy) but I still loved it. I really pictured Edmond as handsome as the actor Jim Caviezel. I really fell in love with the actor as my favorite character. I think it was in his eyes-at first the innocence when he was Edmond Dantes. I guess I'm just a sucker for blue eyes. All in all the book and movie was, is the best of all time!
