Thank you, Michelle. But have you ever tried paper? I always have a little snack during English. You should try it sometime.

Milady not only stole from the church she had a man murdered she killed Canstance, or whatever, and was planning on killing more, AND thats counting the duke. and back then it was common to treat your valets however you wanted. You want someone to hate look at Aramis

Have you ever heard of a little thing called capitalization and decent punctuation? Your review was hard to read and shows that you do not have a good grasp on the English language. Using "I mean" and "like" as part of your review did not make me believe that you are well acquainted with your subject.

Athos did not hang Milady because she stole something from the Church. You need to reread "The Three Musketeers" Apparently. Mylady was hung for 2 reasons 1) She was treasonous to France. Per orders of Cardinal Richleau's and carried noted to the Duke of Buckingham and if you recall England was at war with France at the time. 2) Personally Athos still loved her but she did him a very serious wrong and dishonored him even further. Being that Athos was a man of honour he had no other choice in the matter. Mylady wore the Fleur de leis on her shoulder, she was a dishonorable woman and had used her ways to murder another man (perhaps her first husband). She lied to Athos because of this and when Athos found out he virtually gave/gamble and definitely lost his fortune prior to joining the Musketeers. <br>

to katy from Canada. i can't not believe you wanted Milady dead. i mean athos hung her from a tree naked because she supposedly stole something from a church before they were married. Don't you think that at sixteen having to experience that would be just a tad traumatizing. maybe that's why she went all psycho. and even if she was as you say an evil demon from hell how does that justify athos taking her fate into his hands and judging her. it's not like he has never killed anyone or done anything immoral so why does he kill her even when he has the same stain on his conscience. what about the way he treated people. did you not think it disgusting that he made grimaud eat paper. why not burn it up or something but nooo make the servant eat it. And he won't even let him talk. they have to have some sort of complicated code hand thing that athos made up because he is mentally unhinged, and when grimaud messes up in the beginning attempting to learn this he gets punished. all the musketeers treat their valets like scum. even Porthos changed his lackey's name to mousqueton. I don't know about you but i wouldn't want to have my name changed by some pompous noble who thinks that, because he's societie's parasitical leech, it makes him better than me.

Whoa Michelle, I sense alot of anger there.......the Muskuteers are FICTIONAL characters that represent a certain societies ideals during a certain time in history. These characters are truly "noble" because they are be judged by the standards of the time. Athos hung Milady because it is what a "noble" person from that time would have done. In fact, it is this act of sacrifice that defines Athos as an upstanding member of the noble class. Athos loved Milady and yet was forced to act as her executioner. Most importantly, though, you should probably just chill out and enjoy the story for what it is...historical FICTION.
