I read 1984 for the first time in high school in 1976, and I just read it again here in 2004. What a differance it is after only 28 years. I would like to submit to you the true identity of BB. The governments are not him. They are but only a symptom of this sickening disease. BB is our society and the govts. are it's enforcers. We have created BB out of justifiable and unjustifiable fears. We follow like sheep every time one of our elected officials points out a "new" danger ,and a new law goes into effect that puts new limits upon our so-called freedoms. The war on drugs is a perfect example. It's a never ending war. We (some of you) have bought into the lies that all illegal drugs are bad. Some are, and that's a fact. Others are virtually harmless, but the punishments for using the harmless ones are as severe as those of the dangerous ones. Our society sanctions the use of one of the most deadly drugs there is-alcohol. The alcohol industry supports the war on drugs-how ironic. I just wanted to let Big Brother know that there is a brotherhood, and we are working to bring you down. Maybe not in my life span, but we will never, never surrender. Our numbers are growing every year in spite of all the laws you pass restriciting us. Once you realize you are a sheople(doing what the govt. tells you and receiving it's reward for following it's rules) then your awakening can begin and you will see how beautiful life really is.
