184 was a gorgeous story.... I HAD to read it as a summer reading project for school, but I am very glad that I did....It scared me at times thinking that Big Brother could one day very soon become a realiy in our world. In some places, like China, it already has. I wonder how could a country let their political leaders get to that extreme point of control. There is more common party members than "Inner Party members" so why couldn't and wouldn't they just overthrow the government?? As Winston said ," If there is hope, it lies in the proles." 1984 is a must read so go out and read it!!!
