This book is a fabulous piece of literature. We read it in my 10th grade class, and discussed it many times in great detail, and thanks to my wonderful wonderful teacher (who shall remain nameless) I grew to love the novel. The thing that dissapointed me though was that the novel ends with Winston loving Big Brother. I think this is much like society today. People will betray one another to save themselves from their worst fear (their own Room 101). The fact that Winston had such strong beliefs and thoughts made me believe that he will not give all these up and finally love Big Brother at the end of the novel. Obviously I was very wrong. Well I just felt like commenting because it is the "cool" thing to do apparently. If anyone wishes to discuss the book with me, then comment on my comment.
