I am a yr 11 student studying this text, and i have been for the last 8 weeks and i am still finding it hard to get my head around. The idea that the story is behind reveals so much about todays society and how people are falling into the traps of doing anything they can in order to feel safe, even if that involves dismissing who they really are and taking away their own identitiess but following a so called leader. <br>I only wish more people could study this text to make themselves aware of how our society is changing- and not for the better! Because if we keep living the way we are, we will all end up just like Winston-FOLLOWERS who really have no need or desire to live!!
