this book was one of the scariest books ive ever read. i have read a brave new world and the girl who owned a city and noe of them even come close to orwell's redition of a one-world government. his prediction though dire and grim is the best lamp at our feet that could possibly have been provided. it is this bleak and shapless future that our govt was specifically designed to overcome. and although we have a great country set up by great men, it is up to us to uphold those laws and stay true to our country's traditions. without democracy there is dictatorship. and with dictatorship comes the demise of the human condition. the ability to think and make rational judgement is the only thing that seperates humans from animals; without this we are nothing but cattle grazing in pastures of stupidity. I give my salute to orwell for this fantastic warning which has helped us to do our best to make sure that such a world cannot and will not exist.
