After reading the novel, 1984,I was completely astonished by the way Orwell's creation had made me feel and left with a great impact on my view on society. It has made me consider the communist societies spread all over the world and has given me greater knowledge on the cruelty of varied social controls. I also find it to be a satisfying ending as Winston won the battle against Big Brother, despite his horrific torture, as he didn't let BB get inside him. According to people's opinions, Winston then learnt to love and obey BB, (still having control over his mind) but is this the end of Winston's struggles? Did he fight his anti-BB society to end up believing what he resented? What if Orwell thought a different ending...?
