I have read over all the above interpritations and i also believe that our society is becoming to mirror that of 1984. When you take into consideration how we are controlled by the government you soon see the similarities. I found the novel overall quite chilling but after spending sometime reflecting back over i soon realised that what i read sort of reflects the society in which i live. My praises to Orwell, 1984 was a great read as well as Animal Farm, i would recommend his novels.

Just to qualify this conversation--I was wondering if anyone here has brushed up on the nuances of A.I. today. I can not claim to be an expert here, but certain sources have exposed the idea that the government(s) have released a plethora of A.I. programs on the Net--chatbots--and their inital tipoff to their unhuman origins is in their syntax and punctuation errors. You see, the code in this area is perfect but presented as flawed for 2 reasons: To evade detection; and to reveal their presence to certain parties. I'm sure that this is all clever fiction a la' Matrix/1984/2001 etc., but what a clever idea for a novel of epic propotions!!!;)
