Kind Hearts and Coronets is a British movie, but I'm not sure if the title came from a quote or not.

According to Britmovie.co.uk/:

"The title was taken from a Tennysonian couplet quoted by one of the characters: 'Kind hearts are more than coronets, And simple faith than Norman blood.'" (http://www.britmovie.co.uk/studios/ealing/filmography/54.html)

These lines are quoted in the 1949 film, and are meant ironically. Louis, the main character, has no sense of noblesse oblige.

The couplet comes from the poem "Lady Clara Vere de Vere" by Alfred Tennyson, written in 1832.
