Orwell was perhaps one of the greatest writers of our time. with works like "down and out in Paris and London" and perhaps a wider known novel "Animal farm". Just before "Animal farm" was published Orwell announced himself a 'Political writer'. 1984 perhaps leads on from where animal farm finishes. it's an oppressive diminuative novell about a man who thinks larger then himself and tries to tackle a nation. Orwell manages to envisage the sentimates at that time. it's a purely brilliant novel!
