"Im always going to love you."
She spoke a truth more permanent than any promise.
Her hair blew upon the wind,
gossamer knitted into the last strands of sunset.
A silhouette of two souls blended
between the sun's blush
And the moon's muted glow.
I released her from my embrace.
Passer byes walked nonchalant,
saying goodbye to their loves
as if they weren't
small lonely deaths.
And she went away,
a specter
faded from my sight,
drifted to some other world,
far from me.
A thousand prayers could not keep her.
A thousand arms not hold her.
A kiss would have condemned her
to some lesser existence.
Still, her words remain
lingering somewhere between
dusk and night.
As alive and real
as my empty hands,
and knowing heart.

Here it is. A thoughtful well written poem wasted on its posting on a dead site. It’s very good Shadow. If you find somewhere better to post it let me know.

That is particularly great. You should be proud.
