Hello.
I had to read this book, Animal Farm, in my 9th grade Language Arts class. I believe this book was aimed for older, more mature and understanding people-as in young adults. Plus, it was a bit disturbing. Sure, it was very well written and thought out, but to truley understand it, you must understand the real history of communism and the U.S.S.R, plus other countries with the same growing problem. I liked and understood how he percieved the real problem in Russia, and how he transformed it to fiction. But there are so many hidden parts and how he twisted politics into it, that I didnt really like. I understand most politics but I still dont like the subject. You can say I'm a bit "shakey" with politics.
I havent read 1984 yet, but people say its more deep than Animal Farm. I guess these books just arent my type. :(
