The Eagle flies from sea to sea
Alarmed that he has seen this all before
But the battle lines were much clearer then
As the conflict drew near, each chose sides
Free versus Slave, Blue versus Gray
That sad day was marked with fields of blood
But today all around us are rancor and strife
Where can we find peace and civility anymore?
We are tearing the fabric of this country apart
We pick up guns and kill at shocking rates
Ban guns, and we would pick up knives and clubs
For the evil in our hearts is boundless
The Eagle weeps for what has been lost
The freedoms we won at immeasurable cost
Traditions that bound us together as a Nation of one
Now “Looking out for number one” is the mantra of the day
We cast aside symbols of God’s glory
We banned the Bible, the Cross, the Ten-Commandments, and prayer
Our flag and our country are symbols of our greatness
Once we held them up with honor and pride
But now we burn the flag, curse our country, and deny God’s existence
There is no mention of US in the End Times
Has He turned His back to US?
No one really seems to care
From within, we are rapidly decaying and dying
Family units are passé, class warfare is the norm
How many generations remain before the skeleton of US lay on history’s trash heap?
We will wonder like those great nations who fell before,
“What happened and why?”
It will be too late to wonder then
It will be time to rebuild, if we can
History will not be in our favor
Alarmed that he has seen this all before
But the battle lines were much clearer then
As the conflict drew near, each chose sides
Free versus Slave, Blue versus Gray
