I planned it
I knew my route before I stepped afoot.
I mapped it
Though I chose instead to stay put.

I was afraid of where I was going
from the places that I had gone.
So I waited, time unarrested,
And the dawn has since been long drawn.

Now I tread within the darkness
Can’t see my way home.
Didn’t stay on the right road
Lost and alone.

I touch at the shadows
of a day that has already had its end.
The moonlight shows only glimpses
of a traveled path, grass that’s been bent.

No way to go forward
No way to go back
So I stay in limbo
With nothing more, and nothing less, to lack.

Thankyou Shadowlight for that wonderful poem, it reminded me of my past life experiences, I could identify with those feelings and thoughts.
Warmest regards Michael.
