Which Way To Go?

Time flows by,ignoring my pain
I just sit there, cannot explain.

Space encloses me all around
look for a signal, still no sound.

Empty feelings circle around
cannot feel my feet upon the ground.

Sunlight beckons, hopes are stirred
will I be alright,don't be absurd!

The way ahead looks long and steep
will this night bring dreamless sleep.

Looking for a sign to show the way
will I find it on this day.

Gazing out on a star light night
are there others with my plight.

Towards another day I venture
will it bring pain or adventure.

I enjoyed this piece Kirkpatrick.
the rhymes are complimentary and gives it a light feel.
and the way to always go is ahead moving forward or back to take a break and reflect.

Thank you so much Cacian for your thoughtful words, have only just got back into writing poetry after about a thirty year absence .
