I could stay in my room
And watch skin flakes
Land on sideboards
Spiders spin their webs
Flies die
Silently screaming,
I could eat chickens
Born to be dippers
Watch a rectangle
In fine HD
Cut my nails as they grow
Turn lights off and on
Turn heating off and on
Leave the house
Return to the house
Leave the house return
To the house
Walk up the stairs
Walk down the stairs
Grow a beard
Be interesting
Study the works
Of Freud
Make a face like
Munch’s scream
Draw curtains
Undraw curtains
To darkness light
And rain
I could think I’m just ace
And have a bath
Resplendent in bubbles
And tea tree arrogance
I could never leave the house
And never miss
A thing.

"Spiders spin their webs
Flies die
Silently screaming,"

Quite evocative. Enjoyed.

Jerry, I read it and forgot to breathe! due to which I didn't miss a thing, hopefully... a strong poem!
