I don't see why people like to compare Animal Farm with the Russian Revolution, even though that was probably the author's intended satire, but any other such revolution involving '-ism's might have done as well.<br><br>In fact, Animal Farm can exist entirely on its own as a beast fable, allegory, satire, etc. without having to be compared with an existing revolution. A good theme, for example, would be corruption based on authority.
