I read Animal Farm when I was in High School and I am now using it in college for my honors English class. I had to pick a story with a dual meaning and the book that popped right into my head was Animal Farm. I will always read it anytime. It shows the transition from Old Major's thought out plan of morality to Napoleon's crooked plans which unfortunately exists in our world today. There are a lot of lessons to learn from the book.

I thought this book was so brilliant !!! Im with you, I thought this was going to be a book about animals and stuff. But when I read it in my history class, we had to link it to the Russian Revolution. That really opened up my mind. I think that the book is so interesting and well-written !!

I thought this book was going to be boring as well...but the ending that the book has i think is really bad too...but it can't be changed to make it better because this book is based on a real event (Russian Revolution) so no matter what we think a real event can't be changed.

P.S - I LOVE SNOWBALL AND BOXER!

I just finished reading Animal farm in my Honors English 2 class. At first I didn't like it because I thought it was going to be just a stupid book about how selfish animals are because they don't run things. The more I read, the most interested I became. The main them of this book I think was that no matter how much power someone has, they always want more. The more power you gain, the more unfair you're going to treat others. This book showed great use of propoganda with Napoleon and Snowball. I felt so sorry for Boxer because he stood behind Napoleon and the pigs the whole time and sold him to the knackers and bought whiskey with the money! I recommend this book to anyone!
