The vodka and the pills
With no more bills
Those who cut vertical
Hang from a bough
Or the balustrade
To the people who suddenly
Step from the kerb
Or onto the rail
Or inject or inhale
For walking into the sea
When the beach is dark
And empty
For setting the sat nav
To tree
Staying too long in the bath
Hiding your wishes
Whilst faking your laugh
We wish you were here
And we wanted so much
For you to want that too,
Yet
Silently we salute you.

Trying the pillow on top

Wow! Now that was powerful.
Well written. :)

Was it perhaps the screwdriver that killed him
It has a human hair on the tip
Or the butter knife that may be crowned
With raspberry jam or blood
Was it suicide
He’d recently been seen to stare out the window
On very wet and cloudy days
Cancer maybe, baby
God he was looking thin
Emaciated you may say
Stress. He needed less
He couldn’t sleep without merlot
But no
It was her smile you see, instead
That killed him stone cold dead.

Wow, loved the way you put this poem together. Great last two lines.
