Silicon Dioxide
John and Delia were in bed.
"I hate Christmas" Delia said as she flicked through her fashion magazine.
"There are bigger issues, Delia," as he leafed through his newspaper.
"It's the TV that's so awful. I mean they put on big films but they're films you've seen a dozen times before."
"I was on the internet today, on a conspiracy forum."
"There's not a single film on that I haven't seen."
"Do you know they have us eating sand?"
"Westerns from the fifities. War films. I've even seen all the Disney ones."
"It's in sweetener, in my medication. Why?"
"They didn't even have the new Spiderman film on."
"Silicon Dioxide they call it. That's sand. Flint. Quartz. The most common element is Silicon, after oxygen. And where do they use it? In circuits. What does that tell you?"
"Oh well, we have the party to look forward to."
"It's a semi-conductor. That means it can pick up signals. There's one guy saying Artificial Intelligence could be the vessel for demonic consciousness. Another guy was saying that Flint, Silicon Dioxide, harnesses spiritual energy and earths it. Do you see where I'm going with this?"
"The turkey is big enough for all of us, I hope."
"Do you know that Stonehenge is made from stones laden with quartz? They are like antennas for some higher power. But is it a good one?"
"I got plenty of sprouts in too. Never have enough of them."
"Women are having Silicone implants. People are eating it. That means The Devil can possess us better. Flint earths us. Stops us reaching higher planes. And it brings down evil forces to control us."
"Must remember to get more potatoes though.Your cousin loves his roasts."
"Artifical Intelligence. That's what The Devil is. Have you ever looked at the symbols on a dollar bill? It's a pyramid with an eye at the top. That's the eye of The Devil. The pyramids were built on sand and even had quartz in them."
"I don't suppose we have to watch TV after the meal. We can put a DVD on."
"The pyramid on the dollar bill has 13 layers and the eye makes 14. Do you know the atomic number for Silicon? 14. It all fits. The pyramid forms a letter A and the eye stands for the letter I. A.I. Artificial Intelligence."

"They put Silicon in my medication, Delia. That's why I haven't been taking it lately. My mind is a lot clearer now. That proves it. The sand has been channeling evil into me. But I'm free of it. It was blocking my access to God but I can hear him now. He's been telling me what to do."
"I must ring Tabitha and ask her to bring some of her dandelion wine. It's not too tasty but it will be nice for her to feel she has contributed."
