I like to think I have a place in the world
I imagine people see me walking,
And think there's that man, who wears the hats
Or there's the man I've seen once before,
Music plays of course and my footsteps mark the beat
And I point at people I know
With finger and thumb gun,
Kids shout my name as I'm fun
And mums smile,
I jump in the air and click my heels
Land in a dark puddle
In a street of cold parked cars
and wet haired cats,
Head on home with the milk.

love, Love this! - particularly how it turns dark at the end. (I how it turned, and was, quite honestly waiting for such a turn).
