Hey guys! I'm John Paul or J.P for short. I joined this forum simply to improve my writing and to showcase my stories and hopefully to gain a fanbase in the process.

I've always had a passion for English but I discovered my talent in high school when I created a story to which my English teacher called me a "flur of words". My class mocked me but I smiled because I have a special power and that is my writing.

I believe writing allows me to speak my own language. I am shy around people generally but when I write I am confident. I feel I want to share my stories to make people smile and to entertain them. I get just as much as pleasure writing as you read so I feel its a win-win.

Lastly, I am honoured to be apart of this forum. From what I have seen so far on posts you all seem like intelligent and mature people so I am excited and proud to be here.

Well, actually we have our moments. :)

But welcome indeed! A little encouragement goes a long way, especially when you are a student. When I was a little tyke (in the Middle Bronze Age) I won a kitchen tile (like to put hot things on) from the Cub Scouts for being the best writer in my pack. It's on my desk to this day. Anyways, welcome. You may consider me your founding fan base. :)

I admire your personality. I could not think of a better first fan . You made my day with this reply. Thank you for welcoming me. I am proud to be around people with the same passion.

Thank you Paws! I appreciate your welcome. I do not mean to sound arrogant if I do but I feel you will love my writing. I will post my first short story later or tomorrow. I look forward to writing for you!
