I'm writing a graduate paper on "Maternal Love" in Uncle Tom's Cabin. This novel is filled with extremely maternal women who take action on their beliefs instead of standing by, wringing their hands and saying, "Oh my, this dreadful thing of slavery is wrong! " They DO something about it! (They break the law of the land, and honor the higher law of God!) Yea mothers!<br>Glad that so many people are reading this book!
