Jane was once a happy girl. One that exuded an aura of cheerfulness and positivity. She was the type of person that turned negative situations around. One that was loved by everyone. This all changed one day. All because of a ****ing drunk. She never even heard about the news until later, after the “incident”. Actually. she was at a party with her friends, to celebrate her acceptance into her top university. But of course she never went to another party after that day. What happened, you may ask… Her family died. That’s what. Imagine this. A father, one beaming with pride after learning that his daughter got into a university that she applied for, couldn’t wait to let her know. To embrace her. To celebrate 18 years of hard work and pain. To finally let her know just how grateful he was to her, and how proud he was. Imagine a mother. Who just got off of a stressful day at work to hear possibly the best news a parent could. Imagine a younger sister. One that had her head forward. One that truly loved and cared for you. Now cross all of them out. Three year later she sits in a chair, alone in a home that previously used to be occupied by a loving and functional family. One that taught her how to love. To smile. To live. Quite ironic, isn’t it? Being taught how living life to the fullest by people who weren’t even alive anymore. Now here she lies, in her family’s house, still contemplating on whether or not she should join her family in heaven. Wondering if there was a solution to this. If she could ever feel again. If she could ever become the girl she once was. Jane was once a happy girl, but that same girl doesn’t exist, and never will again.

A/N: This is my first short story so please bear with me (I used to be much more creative and better at writing, but frankly I'm out of practice)

How did all this come about... what becomes of Jane ... and so on.

Never mind this 'out of practice' stuff -- we're all ears (eyes?) ;)
