Hi - I ran across a quote of a neat Romantic poem that I think was by Byron, but could've been by another Romantic. I haven't been able to find it via Google. The thrust of it was "I choose to believe there exists some unselfish kindness, some untempered goodness, some generosity that isn't rooted in vanity, etc." Does this ring a bell to anyone? Many thanks to anyone who can help!

I did a search for this poem but only came up with one hit - your post in the literature network forums! You need to provide more info. Either the author (are you sure it was Byron?) or the poem.

I'm looking, but I think it is later. it may be Jack Kerouac in an interview.
