I need help finding a short story!

About 5 years ago my English tutor showed me a very interesting short story. I can't remember the name or author but I believe it won an award or something associated with LSU. All I remember is the story was about a young boy that had a crush on this girl who he basically describes as white trash. Later in the story she flirts with him ties him to a chair and stings him with bees. I've tried to google things but that's not helping. Thanks to anyone who can help!!
