I WEEP FOR ME MY ANGEL
Felixmichael Atwood
I knelt on a barren hill, kissed by the wind
Grass waved in a fertile valley below
The sun paints fluorescent orange clouds
Its somber rays glisten on my cheeks
My memory of the only angel I ever knew
This wonderful angel that appeared to me
The time and place were of her choosing
I, smitten with an aura of care and love
My tears were not for my now distant angel
I know she will always be within my heart
Tears cloud my eyes but my vision remains
I weep selfishly for me as the tears flood
My soul knows the sun will dance forever
Across wings where a crystal dew will shine.
